Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my latest trip at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its entrance was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that hygiene was not a priority at this establishment . The floorboards were filthy, and a pungent odor of decaying beverages and filthy restrooms suffused the entire establishment . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , decay and illness . The main bar, which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and debris that looked like it had been ignored for a long time .
